Using Ruby Gems

The standard RubyGems package is installed with 3rdRail. You can add or update Gems.

To see what Gems are installed:

  1. Open the Project Commander. 
    Ctrl+Alt+P
  2. Run:
    gem list

To add a Gem:

  1. Open the Project Commander. 
    Ctrl+Alt+P
  2. Run:
    gem install {gem name}
  3. To verify that the new Gem is installed run:
    gem list

To update all installed Gems:

  1. Open the Project Commander. 
    Ctrl+Alt+P
  2. Run:
    gem update
